Be upholders of justice\, and bearers of witness to truth for the sake of Allah\, even though it may either be against yourselves or against your parents and kinsmen\, or the rich or the poor: for Allah is more concerned with their well-being than you are. Do not\, then\, follow your own desires lest you keep away from justice. If you twist or turn away from (the truth)\, know that Allah is well aware of all that you do.” \nInshAllah there will be something for everyone. We plan to create space for new and old friends to connect\, have time for reflection and dikhr\, share about the fight for the People’s Budget\, offer opportunity for you to make a donation/pay Zakat to Malikah or New York Muslim Organizing\, and support small local Muslim business. We will be on Steinway and right next to Masjid Al-Iman\, available for folks who want to pray night prayers/Fajr. \nThis event has sliding scale ticket prices to ensure it is accessible to all. If you are able to\, paying the $7 general admission ticket helps us support the cost of organizing and holding this event and will support our future events. \nAddress available upon registration.
